Acceptable use policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
AutoTalent is for recruiting people into real jobs. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to the web app, the MCP server, the CLI and the API, and to any agent or script you connect to them.
1. No discriminatory targeting
Don’t use AutoTalent to:
- target, filter, rank or exclude people because of a protected characteristic, such as race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, disability, genetic information or veteran status
- do the same through a proxy for one of these, for example graduation year used for age, “digital native”, names, photos, or zip codes used for race
- write requisitions, must-haves or hiring-manager notes that tell the AI to prefer or avoid a protected group
- make a final hiring decision from an AI score without a person looking at the candidate
2. No scraping in breach of other sites' terms
- Don’t use AutoTalent, its API or MCP tools, or data exported from them, to scrape or harvest data from websites or services in breach of their terms or technical protections. Don’t combine AutoTalent with tools that do.
- Don’t scrape, crawl or bulk-download AutoTalent itself, including the company database.
- Don’t get around rate limits, plan limits or access controls.
3. No spam
- Only email people about real, open roles that you’re recruiting for.
- Say truthfully who you are and who you’re recruiting for, and use subject lines that reflect the message.
- Don’t send to purchased or rented lists, or upload addresses you have no lawful reason to contact.
- Honour opt-outs. Don’t email someone again after they’ve asked you to stop, including from another requisition or account.
- If you turn off the unsubscribe footer for a requisition, give people another clear way to opt out where the law requires one.
- Watch your volume and complaint rates. We may pause sending for accounts with high bounce or spam-report rates.
4. Use candidate data only for recruiting
- Don’t sell, rent or give candidate data to anyone else, or use it for marketing, sales prospecting, background checks or credit, insurance or housing decisions.
- Don’t build a separate database from AutoTalent data to use outside the Service.
- Don’t try to collect sensitive data about candidates, such as health, religion, immigration status or criminal records.
5. Other things not to do
- Post fake jobs, run scams, or pretend to be another person or company.
- Harass, threaten or mislead candidates.
- Break the law, including employment, privacy, anti-spam and export laws.
- Probe, scan or test AutoTalent’s security without permission (see reporting a vulnerability), or upload malware.
- Share your account or API keys with people outside your organization, or resell the Service without our agreement.
6. Enforcement and reporting
If we believe an account breaks this policy, we may remove content, pause sending, suspend or close the account, and tell affected people or authorities where appropriate. To report misuse, including an email you think broke this policy, write to support@autotalent.ai.
